#233: New multi-pack! Lotus Biscoff cookies with Belgian milk chocolate...

     Members of our taste panel have enjoyed flying to various locations throughout the years.  As a group with a high degree of curiosity about, and interest in new and notable foods and beverages, we tend to pay attention to the snacks that are offered during many of our flights. The next item is a tasty variation of one of our favorites that can we've frequently enjoyed while en-route to our favorite destinations.

      Biscoff Cookies with Belgian Milk Chocolate from Lotus Bakeries North America received strong, positive comments from several brandnewfoods.com taste panel members.

What we liked: 
     Taste panel members commented, "I like the addition of chocolate to one of my favorite travel snacks.", "As always, these Biscoff cookies are light.  Plus, the choclate is a nice surprise.", "The multi-pack is perfect.  Now I can enjoy one of my favorite sweet treats - even on flights that don't offer them.", "I'm putting a small pack in my backpack right now!", "The Biscoff website is extensive.  I can't wait to try some of the unique and delicous sounding recipes contained there.", and "In addition, to making a terrific snack, these cookies would complement a gift basket very well."


Did you know?
  • Biscoff is derived from the words "biscuits" and "coffee".
  • Delta Airlines currently offers a variation of Biscoff cookies on many of their flights.
  • The Biscoff recipe was originally created in 1932 by the founders, the Boone Brothers, in Lembeke, Belgium
  • Biscoff Cookie Spread available in smooth and crunchy versions,  is another great get the taste of Biscoff Cookies.

Ingredients (from packaging):
     Wheat flour, sugar, real Belgian chocolate 22% (sugar, cocoa powder, cocoa butter, milk, soy lecithin and polyglycerol polyricinoleate (emulsifiers)), vegetable oils (contains one or more of: soybean oil, sunflower oil, canola oil, palm oil), brown sugar, sodium bicarbonate (leavening), soy flour, salt, cinnamon

Availability:
     We purchased ours at our nearby Walmart store (www.walmart.com). 

     Per the company's website, Biscoff products can be found at Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Cost Plus World Market, and Safeway locations throughout the United States. Selection and availability may vary. Contact your local store to confirm availability.

     Biscoff products may also be purchased online at www.shopbiscoff.com.
