Story:
The first potato chips were invented in 1853 by Native American George Crum. Legend has it that while working as chef in a Saratoga, NY, Mr. Crum became annoyed that a customer repeatedly sent his fried potatoes back complaining they were too thick. In response, Crum cut them as thin as possible and fried them up. In the end, the customer loved them and the first potato chips, known as "Saratoga Chips", were born.
