#78: La Pan's Fiery Fusion BBQ Sauce: "Southeast meets West with Fiery Fusion"...

    Next up from the brandnewfoods.com taste panel is a product from a local Southern California company. Our newest featured item is La Pan's Fiery Fusion  Sweet and Savory BBQ Sauce is from La Pan's Gourmet  Foods in Mission Viejo, CA.  
  
    La Pan's also offers several other unique items including Et Tu Brute Bloody Mary Mix, Foundation Gourmet BBQ Sauce, and BBQ Blessings Spice Rub.

What we liked:
   Comments about La Pan's Fiery Fusion Sweet and Savory BBQ Sauce from our taste panel included "Smoky flavor; sweet and then a spicy kick at the end.", "Sweet, spicy, and delicious!", "Good on ribs, chicken, brisket, steak, carnitas, almost anything!", "First the sweet taste hits you, then the smoky flavor, then a kick to finish things off - wow!", "I wish that I could come up for another word for 'addicting' but this is it!", and "...can't wait to try other La Pan's products!"


Story:
   According to the La Pan's website, founder Jon La Pan is a longtime food lover with a passion for using high quality ingredients to transform food dishes and cocktails.  

   After continued experimenting in his kitchen, Jon realized his unique talent for creating complex sauces and seasonings.  As Jon continued to develop his culinary artistry by testing his newest creations on friends and family, he was amazed at how powerful food was at bringing people together.  

   La Pan's believes that food connects people.  Therefore, every product coming out of La Pan's kitchen is a result of a meticulous experiementing with various spices and blends followd by tastings with family and friends.  

   To quote Jon La Pan, "Let La Pan's bring out the foodie in you!" 

Recipe: La Pan's Fiery BBQ Chicken Tacos (using La Pan's BBQ Blessings Seasoning and La Pan's Fiery Fusion BBQ sauce
(Use Foundation BBQ sauce for less spicy palates.)


Skinless Chicken Thighs/Chicken Breast
Cilantro (de-stemmed)
Corn
Tortillas
Goat Cheese

BBQ BLESSINGS MARINADE & DRESSING
½ c. olive oil
1 tbsp BBQ Blessings Spice Rub
Juice from 1 lemon -or- 1 tbsp lemon juice

- Make marinade and add to chicken in ziplock or container.
- Marinate chicken for a few hours in the fridge, then grill (periodically baste chicken with marinade while grilling).
- Pour 8 oz. BBQ Sauce into a large bowl.
- Chop chicken into small 1/4” cubes and add to BBQ sauce.
- Scoop generous amount onto pre-heated corn tortillas and garnish with goat cheese and cilantro.
- Top with BBQ Sauce and serve.
